Viet Nam - the favorite destination for Australian visitors
The latest statistics on the increasing number of international visitors to Viet Nam in 2010 have reflected that Viet Nam is becoming a tourist destination with the fast growth rate in the Southeast Asia. Of which, the number of Australian visitors has showed that Australia is the 6th potential market and one of main contributors to Viet Nam tourism.
Australia is separated from the rest of countries in the world map. Maybe this causes Australians love to travel, communicate and make friends. Australians used to travel to Indonesia (particularly Bali), Fiji and Thailand in the Asia-Pacific region. However, the trend is changing when more and more Australian visitors have been choosing Viet Nam to spend their vacation.
Halong Bay in world’s top ten sailing cruise
The US National Geographic online magazine listed Vietnam’s Halong Bay as 6th in world’s top ten sailing cruise.
In its introduction, the National Geographic says Halong Bay, or the Bay of the Descending Dragon, in northeastern Vietnam, is scattered with some 3,000 precipitous, strangely sculpted limestone islands and outcrops, and dotted with small floating villages and deserted sandy beaches.
In spring and early summer the water is particularly calm and clear. This UNESCO World Heritage site is best explored by a cruise on a junk.
Halong Bay has been previously listed in the world’s top ten sailing cruise by the Lonely Planet Magazine.
