Dear "Tina'
Thank you so much for the wonderful trip we had. To
my surprise the hotels were as nice as the internet
pictures.
I sent you the synopsis of the trip which covers much
of the experience, impressions. Following covers more
of the "tour arrangements".
First, the guides were very good. This was my first
time of not having the same guide throughout the entire
journey. Son, Han, and Ying were allexcellent -- and
each different. Han -- the history teacher, disciplined,
we all got a good laugh at him telling Katrina "listen".
had a schedule to meet and he did, a good cyclist that
kept us very safe. Son, just a big kid who was a lot
of fun. Ying who was very responsive to our requests,
when he had the choice took us away from the bus tour
restaurants. All of them nice guys.
Great transportation!!! Drivers were great on all things.
Empress hotel was my favorite!!!! Green hotel could
use some refurbishing.
Shame about no boat ride/beach time in Nha Trang. but
unavoidable due to weather conditions. Mekong more than
made up for it. That was a terrific part of trip. Schedule
called for ferry ride -- if there was a conscious decision
for the small boat etc. -- thank you, thank you. It
was perfect!
Set meals -- first time for me with such a program.
Overall -- good. Benefits -- avoiding casting about
for place to eat, got dishes we wouldn't have known
to order. Drawbacks -- only one really. Some of the
meals got repetitive, different place, same food. As
the trip went on, Ying especially, provided an opportunity
to substitude, we ordered extra of a certain dish off
the menu (our cost!).
Recommendation -- first dinner in Dalat, whatever the
place was, horrid! Just didn't eat 90% of the food.
Use another place. Ying took us to another place the
following evening, small local restaurant. Wonderful!!!!
Well, I'll now start thinking about Cambodia, Laos --
with Mekong as part of it. Sadly, due to attack on Katrina,
will approach planning with caution etc. Not sure if
I want to cycle in some of the areas -- and certainly
not sure about wanting to take on the responsibility
of having women along on trip. That one person did not
do a lot for tourism.
Overall -- great job Tina!!! In planning my next trips
to area you will be my first choice as to considering.

Dear Tina
We have now returned to Australia after
a wonderful holiday in Vietnam
Thank you for arranging it for us.
The hotels were exceptional –
particularly in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Dal at and Saigon.
The Guides were also all very good.
I would like to single out Chinh and Hieu in particular
as being helpful and accommodating of our needs as well
as being good company.
We will certainly recommend you to our
friends.

Dear Ms.Hoang Ngan,
I am back in Iowa. Snow
is expected tomorrow. I finally got to Pham Xuan An's
grave and was very happy; thank you for your effort.
My kids wore their Bac Ho tee shirts yesterday and all
of their friends wanted one--next time I know what to
get them. Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries
I have visited and I would love to bring my oldest sons
back (maybe with bicycles they can leave). If we are
able to come, how early in advance would you recommend
letting you know so that we could book hotels, etc.?
Thanks again for all of your work.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Hyde
p.s.-I hope central Vietnam is starting to recover from
the typhoons and doing better now.
